USB Hub Akyga AK-AD-13
The Akyga AK-AD-13 is a compact USB 2.0 hub that expands a single USB port into four independent USB-A sockets. It supports data transfer and device charging according to the capabilities of connected devices, and is compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 peripherals on computers with at least one available USB port. The hub has a slim black housing and small footprint suitable for limited workspaces.
The hub provides four additional USB 2.0 ports for connecting multiple peripherals simultaneously. Its compact dimensions make it easy to position on a desk or carry in a bag, while compliance with CE, FCC and RoHS standards indicates conformity with common safety and environmental requirements. The device is lightweight and designed for plug-and-play use with standard USB hosts.
This hub uses the USB 2.0 standard, which limits maximum data transfer rates compared with USB 3.x devices; for tasks requiring high-speed transfers (large file copies to modern external SSDs) a USB 3.x hub is more appropriate. The hub does not provide dedicated powered ports, so charging multiple high-demand devices simultaneously may be slow or restricted by the host port’s power output.
Connect the hub’s built-in cable or connector to an available USB port on your computer; the system should recognise the hub automatically without additional drivers. Plug peripherals into any of the four USB-A sockets. For devices that draw power from the USB port, ensure the host port supplies sufficient current or connect devices one at a time to avoid power limitations.
Use this USB 2.0 hub to add multiple peripherals in office and home environments where standard USB 2.0 speeds and host-provided power are sufficient. For frequent high-speed transfers or simultaneous charging of several power-hungry devices, consider a powered hub or a USB 3.x solution.
