RJ45 female wire connector Alantec MKB-S6-1, silver finish
RJ45 female wire connector Alantec MKB-S6-1, silver finish
Alantec MKB-S6-1 is a shielded female RJ45 wire connector with a silver finish, designed to provide a standard RJ45 interface for modular Ethernet and network connections. It is intended for terminating or extending network cables where a female RJ45 port is required, and can be fitted into patch panels, wall plates or used as an inline gender-change or re-termination adapter. The toolless, shielded Q-LANTEC transmission jack design enables fast assembly in both horizontal and vertical indoor data communication installations exposed to electromagnetic interference.
The connector supports Class E shielded performance while allowing installation without special tools, which reduces termination time compared with traditional tooling systems. Its metal, silver-finish housing provides effective shielding against EMI and mechanical robustness. A PCB-based layout and guided slots for conductors ensure reliable contact and repeatable terminations for AWG 22–26 conductors using 568A or 568B wiring sequences.
Prepare the cable by stripping the jacket and untwisting pairs to the length recommended for the connector. Arrange conductors according to the chosen wiring standard (568A or 568B) and insert them into the guided slots on the connector until they seat on the PCB contacts. Engage the housing to secure the conductor connections and the shielding. Mount the assembled connector into the target panel, wall plate or inline adapter and verify continuity and pair integrity with a cable tester before placing the link into service.
For best performance, use twisted-pair cable rated for the intended network class and ensure proper bonding of the connector shield to the installation grounding point. Test each terminated link using an appropriate LAN tester to confirm shielding continuity and signal integrity. Avoid excessive untwisting of pairs and follow cable manufacturer guidelines for insertion and bend radii.
