Keystone module Alantec MKB-U6-1, RJ-45 female, UTP, black/white
Alantec MKB-U6-1 keystone module is a single-port RJ-45 female UTP insert intended for installation in modular patch panels, wall plates and other mounting elements. The Cat6-rated, unshielded jack supports standard Ethernet connectors and is supplied in a black/white housing. It is suitable for building or repairing horizontal and vertical structured cabling outlets and patch fields in indoor LAN installations.
The toolless transmission jack is designed for easy installation without specialized tools and features IDC/LSA connection points that accept solid and stranded cables in AWG 22–26 using 568A/B termination schemes. A printed circuit board base and universal mounting attachments enable placement in empty patch panels, wall boxes or floor outlets. The compact single-port design allows incremental expansion or replacement of network outlets and minimizes downtime during upgrades.
Insert the module into a compatible keystone opening in a patch panel or wall plate until it clicks into place. Prepare the UTP cable by stripping the outer jacket to expose pairs, arrange conductors according to 568A or 568B wiring, then insert wires into the IDC/LSA contacts. Terminate each conductor by pressing into the IDC contacts — the toolless design may include a simple punch-down or integrated cap to secure connections. After termination, verify that the module is firmly seated and perform continuity and performance tests to confirm correct wiring and signal integrity.
Use the module indoors in temperature-controlled environments and follow structured cabling standards for cable routing and distance limits. For reliable Cat6 performance, avoid tight bends and maintain proper cable separation from electrical interference sources. Test each link after installation with appropriate network testers to ensure full compliance with Category 6 parameters.
