RJ45 female wire connector Alantec MKN-U5-1, white
RJ45 female wire connector Alantec MKN-U5-1, white
Alantec MKN-U5-1 is a white RJ45 female wire connector designed for network cabling and Ethernet terminations. It provides a female RJ45 interface suitable for patch panels, keystone inserts or inline coupling and supports unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) installations for Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 applications where a standard female RJ45 port is required. The unit is intended for use in horizontal and vertical data communication networks and can be installed in wall boxes, empty patch panels or floor enclosures using universal attachments.
The connector accepts solid and stranded cables in AWG 22–26 and supports standard 568A/568B wiring sequences through IDC (LSA) terminations, enabling reliable contact without soldering. Its PCB-based construction and straight RJ45 female interface provide stable mechanical and electrical performance for modular network outlets. The white ABS/melamine housing offers a durable finish suitable for indoor installations.
Prepare the UTP cable by stripping the sheath to expose individual pairs, untwist pairs to the required length and align conductors according to either 568A or 568B wiring. Insert each conductor into the corresponding IDC slot and use an appropriate punch-down tool to terminate the wires firmly into the LSA contacts on the printed circuit board. After termination, verify that the connector is seated correctly in the chosen mounting element (keystone faceplate, patch panel or coupler housing) and that the assembled outlet provides a stable RJ45 female interface.
For best performance, maintain pair twist as close to the IDC termination as possible, use AWG 22–26 conductors, and test the completed link with a suitable cable tester to confirm continuity and wiring correctness. Install the module in protected indoor environments and avoid exposing the connector to moisture or mechanical stress.
