Patch panel 1U Alantec PK030 — Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 Cat5e, 483×44×110 mm, black
Alantec PK030 is a 1U rack-mount patch panel for Gigabit Ethernet with RJ-45 terminations designed for Cat5e structured cabling. The panel fits standard 19-inch racks and measures 483 × 44 × 110 mm in black finish. It serves as a basic distribution element in network closets and telecom racks to organize, terminate and route Ethernet runs in office and data center environments.
The patch panel provides a compact 1U form factor to save rack space while offering modular RJ-45 ports compatible with Cat5e cabling. Numbered port fields enable clear connection identification and reduce time for moves, adds and changes. It includes mounting hardware and cable ties for secure installation, and the universal connector slot supports the LSA tool sequence 568A/B for straightforward termination. The black metal housing contributes to durability and neat rack appearance.
Mount the Alantec PK030 into a standard 19-inch rack using the included fasteners. Route Ethernet cables to the rear of the panel, strip cable jackets and terminate conductors into the numbered connector fields following the chosen 568A or 568B wiring scheme. Use the supplied cable ties to secure cable bundles and maintain strain relief. After termination, connect patch cords from the front RJ-45 ports to switches, patch panels or active equipment as required.
For reliable performance, use Cat5e-rated cables and maintain pair untwist length to the minimum recommended by cabling standards. Label both ends of each run using the port numbering on the panel and avoid over-tightening cable ties to prevent conductor deformation. Install the panel in a properly ventilated rack and keep cable bundles organized to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
