Patch panel Alantec PK031 24‑port 0.5U for Cat6 S/UTP RJ45, black
Patch panel Alantec PK031 24‑port 0.5U for Cat6 S/UTP RJ45, black
Alantec PK031 24‑port 0.5U patch panel is designed for structured network terminations in compact rack environments. This panel provides 24 RJ45 ports arranged in a half‑rack (0.5U) footprint and is intended for Cat6 cabling with S/UTP (shielded) construction. The black metal housing supports organized cable routing and secure connections for shielded Ethernet links in server racks, communication cabinets and wall‑mounted enclosures.
The PK031 combines a space‑saving 0.5U form factor with a full set of 24 RJ45 terminations, enabling higher port density where rack space is limited. Built for use with Cat6 S/UTP cables, the panel preserves cable shielding continuity and reduces electromagnetic interference when correctly grounded. The standardized RJ45 jacks ensure compatibility with common Ethernet hardware and structured cabling practices.
Mount the panel in the rack using appropriate 0.5U mounting points or an adapter bracket if necessary. Terminate each incoming shielded Cat6 cable to the corresponding RJ45 jack following the panel’s wiring labels and the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Ensure the cable shields are properly terminated to the panel’s grounding point to maintain shielding continuity. After termination, organize and secure cables with ties or cable management accessories to prevent strain on the jacks.
For reliable shielded performance, use S/UTP Cat6 cables end‑to‑end and verify proper grounding of the patch panel to the rack or building earth. Test each connection with a network cable tester after installation to confirm continuity, pair integrity and shielding effectiveness.
