Patch panel 1U Alantec PK051, 24 ports, Cat6a, 1000 Mbps, black
Alantec PK051 is a 1U rack-mount patch panel with 24 ports designed for Cat6a cabling and supporting up to 1000 Mbps data rates. The panel is built from bronze, steel and thermoplastic with a black finish and features nickel/gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable connectivity. Its compact 1U form factor and standard rack mounting make it suitable for professional server rooms, telecommunication racks and structured cabling installations where Cat6a performance and dependable terminations are required.
The patch panel provides 24 RJ45 ports in a space-saving 1U housing, enabling centralized cable management and easier network organization. Nickel and gold plated contacts improve corrosion resistance and signal integrity across Cat6a links. Durable construction using steel and thermoplastic delivers mechanical stability for repeated patching and unpatching, while the black finish maintains a uniform appearance in equipment racks.
Install the patch panel in a standard 19-inch equipment rack occupying 1U of height and secure it with appropriate rack screws. Terminate Cat6a cables to the rear IDC or punch-down type connectors following T568A or T568B wiring schemes, then test each link with a cable tester to verify continuity and pair integrity. Route and label cables to maintain an organized layout and reduce signal interference; use cable management accessories as needed.
For reliable Cat6a performance, maintain proper cable bend radius, separate power and network cabling where possible, and use quality RJ45 patch cords rated for Cat6a or higher. Regularly inspect and, if necessary, clean contact surfaces and re-test links after any maintenance or reconfiguration.
