Managed Switch Allied Telesis AT-GS950/16-50
The Allied Telesis AT-GS950/16-50 is a managed L2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 16 RJ-45 ports that support 10/100/1000 Mbps and two SFP combo ports for fiber connectivity. Housed in a 1U rack-mountable chassis and finished in white, the switch provides an 8000-entry MAC address table and implements industry networking standards such as IEEE 802.1D, 802.1s, 802.1w and IEEE 802.3 family protocols to support reliable Layer 2 switching and link aggregation.
The switch combines full Gigabit copper ports with SFP combo slots to offer flexible uplink options and improved network segmentation. Managed L2 features and support for IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation enable better bandwidth utilization and redundancy. Its 1U rack form factor and compact weight make it suitable for standard rack installations while keeping power and space usage efficient.
Install the AT-GS950/16-50 in a standard 19-inch rack using the included mounting brackets. Connect network devices to the RJ-45 Gigabit ports for copper connections and insert compatible SFP modules into the combo slots for fiber uplinks as needed. Configure VLANs, LACP, spanning tree and other Layer 2 features through the switch’s management interface according to network design and access policies.
Place the switch in a ventilated rack space and use appropriate SFP modules certified for the switch. Keep firmware up to date and apply configuration backups after changes. For redundant uplinks, use IEEE 802.3ad (LACP) to aggregate links and configure Spanning Tree Protocol to prevent loops.
