Coaxial Cable, ALLNET, 5m 2xSMA
The ALLNET Coaxial Cable, 5m with 2xSMA connectors, is a flexible RF cable intended to link devices that use SMA male and SMA female interfaces. With a 5-metre length and LMR-195 style construction, it is designed to carry radio-frequency signals while minimising signal loss over a modest distance. The cable is suitable for extending antenna connections, linking test equipment, or connecting networking and radio modules where SMA terminations are required.
This coaxial cable provides a standardized SMA(m) to SMA(f) connection, offering straightforward compatibility with many antennas, routers, modems and RF modules. The 5 m length gives installation flexibility without needing additional adapters, and the LMR-195 type construction aims to balance flexibility and shielding for reliable signal transmission. The cable is manufactured to meet typical durability expectations for fixed and semi-permanent indoor or sheltered outdoor use.
This cable is not intended for applications requiring N-type, TNC, BNC or other connector types without adapters. It is designed for typical RF signal transmission but may not meet specialised requirements for very low loss over long distances or for use in fully exposed outdoor environments without additional weatherproofing. For installations with extreme mechanical stress, vibration, or direct prolonged outdoor exposure, a cable with a heavier-duty jacket or specialized outdoor rating should be considered.
Connect the SMA male end to the device or antenna socket that accepts SMA(m) connectors and attach the SMA female end to the corresponding SMA(m) plug on the other device. Tighten connectors by hand or with a suitable torque-limited wrench to avoid over-tightening; ensure connections are secure and free from dirt or debris before use. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, kinks, or places where it may be pinched; support the cable at regular intervals in longer runs and avoid running parallel and close to strong power lines to reduce interference.
For best performance, keep connector interfaces clean, avoid tight bends with a radius smaller than the cable body recommends, and use appropriate adapters or mounts if connecting to different connector types. If the cable will be used outdoors, protect connector joints with suitable weatherproofing materials and plan for strain relief at connection points.
