Rust Oxide Patina 40 ml — Ammo U-Rust (rust effect solution)
Ammo U-Rust Rust Oxide Patina 40 ml is a liquid solution formulated to produce realistic rust effects on scale models, dioramas and miniatures. The product creates oxidized metal coloration and surface texture on painted or bare substrates, allowing hobbyists to simulate natural corrosion and aging on small-scale projects. The 40 ml bottle gives controlled application for localized effects and layering during weathering work.
Ammo U-Rust delivers an authentic rust tone and subtle surface variation without abrasive application techniques. The liquid formula reacts with metal-containing paints and primers to form visible oxide patina, enabling varied results from light staining to heavier corrosion. Its modest volume is suited to detailed work and repeated touch-ups, and the solution can be applied with brushes, droppers or micro-applicators for precision.
Apply the rust oxide patina to clean, prepared areas where corrosion is required. Use a fine brush, dropper or micro-applicator to place small amounts on the target surface and allow the solution to react; results will appear as the patina develops. For layered or stronger effects repeat application in thin passes, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next. Test on a scrap piece or hidden area to check reaction and colour intensity before applying to the final model.
Work in a well-ventilated area and wear suitable protective gloves. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin exposure. After achieving the desired patina, seal the area with an appropriate matte or satin varnish to protect the finish and stabilize the effect for handling and display.
