The APC NetShelter SX Gen2 AR3100B2 is a freestanding 19" rack enclosure with 42U of usable space and a static load rating up to 1814 kg. Designed for high-density servers and networking equipment, the cabinet provides cable access, integrated grounding, removable roof and side panels, perforated front and rear doors and included mounting hardware for quick installation in data centres or server rooms.

Advantages

The enclosure supports high-capacity cable management systems and includes pre-installed brush strips in roof openings for neat overhead and raised-floor cable routing. Perforated front and rear doors (≈80% perforation) and 270° opening keep aisles clear while improving airflow. Half-height removable side panels and an easy-removal roof simplify equipment access and cable installation. Integrated eyebolt openings, adjustable leveling feet and pre-installed casters facilitate positioning and movement. The product ships with baying hardware, keys, mounting hardware and tools for basic adjustments.

How to use

Place the freestanding APC NetShelter SX Gen2 on a level surface and adjust the leveling feet to secure the cabinet. Use the included pre-installed casters for initial positioning and then install leveling feet for permanent placement. Remove side panels or the roof via their quick-release fittings to install mounting rails, servers, PDUs and cable management accessories. Route data and power cables through the roof or raised-floor openings equipped with brush strips to maintain airflow and reduce dust ingress. Lock doors and side panels with the supplied keyed locks to secure equipment.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow and equipment life, maintain clear front-to-rear airflow paths, avoid blocking perforated doors, and use compatible APC cable management and cooling accessories.
