ARCO 02290AZ Mini Ball Valve 1/2" Swivel Nut x 1/2" Blue Handle
The ARCO 02290AZ Mini Ball Valve is a high-quality, compact solution designed for precise water flow control in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Engineered with a 1/2-inch swivel nut connection and a 1/2-inch outlet, this valve provides a reliable shut-off mechanism, making it an ideal choice for installations where space is limited. Its robust brass construction ensures long-term durability and resistance to wear, while the distinct blue handle allows for quick identification and effortless operation.
This mini ball valve stands out due to its space-saving design, which allows for easy installation in tight areas where standard valves might not fit. The inclusion of a swivel nut simplifies the connection process, reducing the risk of leaks and ensuring a secure fit. Constructed from high-grade brass, the valve offers excellent structural integrity and longevity under normal operating conditions. The blue handle provides clear visual indication of the valve status, enhancing safety and convenience during routine maintenance or emergency shut-offs.
This valve is not suitable for high-temperature systems exceeding 90°C or for applications involving aggressive chemicals that may corrode brass components. It is also not intended for use in high-pressure industrial steam lines or systems where the pressure consistently exceeds 16 bar.
To install the ARCO 02290AZ, ensure the water supply is turned off and the pipe ends are clean and free of debris. Align the swivel nut with the corresponding male thread and tighten it securely using an appropriate wrench, taking care not to overtighten. Once installed, slowly turn the blue handle to the open position to check for any leaks at the connection points. If no leaks are detected, the valve is ready for regular operation.
For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to operate the valve at least once every few months to prevent mineral buildup and ensure the internal ball mechanism remains free-moving.
