Ball valve ARCO VA30 1/2" FM long handle, model 150603
ARCO VA30 1/2" FM long handle ball valve, model 150603, is a compact inline shut-off device for plumbing and HVAC systems. The valve features a 1/2" female-male threaded connection and an extended lever to facilitate manual operation in tight or hard-to-reach installations. Built for straightforward isolation and flow control of water and other compatible fluids, this ARCO ball valve is intended for residential and light commercial use where a reliable manual valve is required.
The long handle provides improved leverage and easier operation compared with standard short-lever ball valves, reducing the effort required to open or close the valve. The inline, compact design minimizes space requirements while preserving flow capacity. Threaded female-male connections enable simple installation with common plumbing fittings and reduce the need for adapters. The ball mechanism offers quick quarter-turn operation for fast shut-off and dependable sealing when closed.
Install the valve into the piping system using appropriate thread sealant or tape on the male threads and tighten to the recommended torque for the pipe material to ensure a leak-free connection. Operate the valve by rotating the long lever 90 degrees: parallel to the pipe for open flow and perpendicular for closed flow. Inspect connections after initial pressurization and periodically check for leaks and smooth lever operation. When servicing downstream equipment, fully close the valve to isolate the line.
Use the ARCO VA30 ball valve for on/off isolation in potable water and compatible fluid circuits, avoiding use with aggressive chemicals or media outside the valve's material compatibility. Do not overtighten pipe fittings during installation. Where frequent operation or automated control is required, consider valves with suitable actuators or different actuation types.
