Ball valve with filter 1/2" female-female, butterfly handle ARCO VA30
ARCO VA30 is a compact 1/2" female-to-female ball valve with an integrated filter and a butterfly handle, designed for on/off control of liquid flow in domestic and light commercial installations. The valve combines isolation and particle filtration in a single component to protect downstream equipment such as pumps, meters and appliances from debris. Its female threaded connections allow straightforward inline replacement or installation in existing piping and heating circuits.
The design integrates a removable strainer with the ball valve to reduce the need for separate filter housings, saving space and simplifying maintenance. The butterfly handle provides quick visual indication of valve position and enables easy manual operation in confined spaces. Materials and construction are intended for reliable shut-off and low flow resistance when fully open. The compact form factor and standardized female threads make the valve compatible with common plumbing fittings.
Install the valve inline using compatible 1/2" male threaded fittings, ensuring thread sealant or tape is applied to male threads as required by the installation practice. Position the valve so the handle is accessible for operation and the filter bowl is oriented for drainage or removal access. To operate, turn the butterfly handle 90° to open or close the flow; the handle orientation indicates valve position. Periodically isolate the valve, depressurize the line if necessary, and remove the filter insert for inspection and cleaning to maintain flow performance and protect downstream equipment.
For reliable performance, use the valve on clean water systems and avoid exposure to aggressive chemicals or media outside the valve's material compatibility. Schedule periodic inspection of the internal strainer and clean when debris accumulation causes reduced flow. When installing in heating circuits, fit the valve with appropriate supports and consider accessibility for future maintenance.
