Acrylic Paint Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic: Boney Spikes — Sand, 1 pc
Acrylic Paint Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic: Boney Spikes — Sand is a water-based acrylic paint formulated for miniature and model painting. Supplied as a single 1 pc pack, this sand-coloured tone is part of the Warpaints Fanatic line and is suitable for basecoats, highlights and weathering on models, terrain and hobby projects. The formula uses a premium resin base with stabilizers that preserve pigment dispersion and allow thinning to very low viscosities without loss of coverage or colour consistency. The paint is compatible with standard hobby primers and varnishes.
Warpaints Fanatic paints provide high pigmentation and strong coverage in thin layers, reducing the number of coats required to achieve an even finish. The premium resin base and stabilizers keep pigments suspended, enabling reliable flow and easy thinning for glazing, washes or airbrushing. The colour belongs to a Flexible Colour Triad System, offering a consistent hue progression across six complementary shades for simplified shading and highlighting.
Shake the bottle before use to re-suspend pigments. Apply directly over a suitable primer for best adhesion and true colour. For brushwork, use thin layers and allow each coat to dry before applying the next to build smooth coverage. For glazing or washes, thin with water or an appropriate acrylic medium; for airbrushing, progressively thin until the desired spray viscosity is achieved. After painting, protect finished surfaces with a compatible varnish once fully dry.
Store in a cool, dry place and keep the cap tightly closed to prevent drying. Test thinning ratios on a spare surface or palette before applying to a model. When airbrushing, use a filter and strain the paint if necessary to avoid clogging. Combine shades from the same Flexible Colour Triad to achieve natural transitions without hue shifts.
