Technical Drawing Block Astra A4 pastel, 10 sheets, 170 g/m²
Astra Technical Drawing Block A4 pastel contains ten A4 sheets of 170 g/m² paper in soft pastel tones. The block is designed for technical sketches, drafting and general-purpose drawing where medium-weight paper and reduced show-through are required. Pastel colors provide a neutral background that preserves contrast for graphite, ink and marker lines while offering slightly different tonal options compared with plain white sheets.
The 170 g/m² paper weight offers improved opacity and stiffness compared with standard copy paper, reducing bleed and show-through from markers and ink. Sheets are suitable for pencil, technical pens and many felt-tip markers; the pastel tones help to highlight drawing lines and support value studies. The A4 format is compatible with standard folders and portfolios, and the 10-sheet block is lightweight and portable for classroom or fieldwork.
Choose a sheet from the block and secure it on a drawing board or desk to prevent movement while working. Use graphite pencils for precise technical lines and technical pens or fine liners for ink work; test marker compatibility on a corner to check for bleed-through. For layered marker work, allow ink to dry between passes to avoid smudging. After finishing, store sheets flat or in a rigid folder to maintain sheet integrity and prevent creasing.
For best results with markers, test your specific marker types on a spare sheet to confirm absorption and drying behaviour. Use softer pencils (HB–2B) for technical outlines and harder grades (2H–4H) for fine drafting. Keep finished sheets flat and protected from moisture and direct sunlight to preserve color and surface quality.
