Description

The ATEN CL1000N is a 1U rack-mountable LCD KVM console that provides convenient at-the-rack access to existing KVM switches. The unit integrates a 19" LED-backlit LCD, a full keyboard and a touchpad in a Slideaway™ housing, and is compatible with most PS/2 KVM switches. It supports input video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz and includes an internal power supply and adjustable depth for rack installation. The CL1000N is supplied with a standard rack mount kit, a custom KVM cable (VGA, USB; 1.8 m), a power cord and user instructions.

Advantages

The CL1000N saves rack space by combining monitor, keyboard and touchpad into a single 1U Slideaway™ console while maintaining compatibility with existing PS/2 KVM switches. The integrated LED illumination light provides improved visibility of the keyboard and touchpad in low-light conditions. DDC and DDC2/D D C2B support with DDC emulation ensures connected computers automatically adjust video output for optimal display on the built-in LCD. The design includes an internal power supply and an adjustable mounting depth to fit different rack configurations.

How to use

Install the CL1000N into a 1U rack slot using the supplied rack mount kit and adjust the unit depth to suit your rack. Connect the console to an existing PS/2 KVM switch using the provided custom KVM cable (VGA, USB) or appropriate adapter for your switch. Connect the power cord to an AC source within the supported voltage range. Slide the console out when you need direct access; the LCD module can be rotated up to 115 degrees to obtain a comfortable viewing angle. Use the built-in keyboard and touchpad to control servers routed through your KVM switch.

Usage recommendations

For USB-only environments, acquire the appropriate KVM cable or converter to ensure full compatibility. Ensure the rack has sufficient top and bottom clearance for smooth Slideaway™ operation and verify keyboard layout selection matches your preferred language in multinational deployments.
