The ATEN CS19216 16-Port USB 3.0 4K DisplayPort KVM Switch is a 1U rack-mountable unit that provides centralized access and control of up to 16 DisplayPort computers using a single USB keyboard, USB mouse and monitor console. It features a dual-interface console with both DisplayPort and HDMI video output options and supports resolutions up to 4K DCI (4096 x 2160 @ 60Hz). The metal-housed device includes an integrated USB 3.1 Gen 1 hub for high-speed peripheral and data transfer and consumes 26.66 W of power.

The CS19216 supports cascading to two levels to extend control up to 256 computers from a single console and can stack up to eight units to enable multi-display comparisons across up to eight monitors. How to use

Mount the CS19216 in a 19" rack and connect the console monitor to either the DisplayPort or HDMI port on the front console. Connect the USB keyboard and mouse to the console USB ports and link each target computer to the KVM using DisplayPort and USB connections. Use the front-panel pushbuttons, keyboard hotkeys, RS-232 commands or the OSD to switch between computers. For larger installations, cascade additional CS19216 units (up to two levels) to expand control to as many as 256 computers or stack up to eight units for multi-monitor comparison.

Usage recommendations
