Digitus 4K HDMI EDID Emulator HDMI Video Port Type Black 3840x2160
Digitus 4K HDMI EDID Emulator HDMI Video Port Type Black 3840x2160
The Digitus 4K HDMI EDID Emulator emulates the EDID information of connected HDMI displays to maintain stable communication between source devices and monitors. It provides preset EDID profiles (resolutions and timings) and a clone function to read and copy EDID data from a connected TV, monitor or screen. The emulator supports resolutions up to UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz, HDCP pass-through and HDR support for both UHD and FHD. Its compact design (20 x 44 x 13 mm) and HDMI input/output make it suitable for use with extenders, splitters, switches or converters.
The emulator ensures that the signal source maintains a continuous connection by emulating a connected monitor, preventing automatic resolution or format changes and avoiding disconnections when the display is temporarily removed or the link is interrupted. It includes multiple preset EDID entries and a clone function for rapid reading and copying of a display's EDID. The device supports UHD 4K@60Hz, HDCP pass-through and HDR modes, including 4K/60Hz HDR 8-bit YCbCr 4:4:4 and 4K/30Hz HDR 12-bit YCbCr 4:4:4.
Connect the emulator between the HDMI source and the display using the HDMI input and output ports. Choose a preset EDID profile according to the required resolution/timing from the device options or use the clone function to read the EDID of a connected TV/monitor and store it in the emulator. Once configured, the emulator continuously emulates the chosen EDID so the source keeps outputting the selected signal even if the display is disconnected or the link is interrupted.
Use the clone function to capture the exact EDID of the target display when possible; if compatibility issues persist, try alternate preset EDID profiles that match the desired resolution and HDR settings. Install the emulator close to the display or within the AV chain where HDMI connections are managed to reduce cable runs and signal interruptions.
