KVM switch ATEN KL1508AM

The ATEN KL1508AM is an 8-port Dual Rail LCD KVM switch that lets one keyboard, monitor and mouse control up to eight computers. It supports USB and PS/2 keyboard and mouse connections and uses space-saving RJ-45 Cat 5e/6 cabling with KVM adapter cables for flexible interface conversion (PS/2, USB, Sun, serial). The unit features a built-in 17"/19" style LCD console in a slim 1U-compatible Dual Rail housing, OSD menu navigation, and support for daisy-chaining up to 31 additional KVM switches to manage up to 256 computers.

How to use

Install the KL1508AM in a standard 1U rack position using the supplied rack mount kit. Connect each target computer to the KVM switch using the appropriate KVM adapter cable and Cat 5e/6 cabling terminated to the RJ-45 ports. Attach the console monitor, keyboard and mouse to the console ports; an external console may be connected to the extra console port if required. Use the front-panel station/port selectors, hotkey commands, or the multi-language OSD to switch between computers. Configure user accounts, port access rights and network settings through the OSD and perform firmware updates via the supplied upgrade cable when needed.
