Description

Audac OPT2 ST/PC multi-mode single-pack is a fiber optic adapter designed to provide a reliable physical interface for joining or extending 62.5/125 µm multimode optical cables with ST/PC connectors. Supplied as a single unit, the OPT2 is intended for use in network, audio-visual and data transmission installations and serves as the fiber interconnection module for the R2 and M2 Digital Multi-Zone & Multi-Media Matrix Systems. It enables transfer of up to 16 digital audio signals (8 stereo channels) over a single duplex multimode fiber link and is suitable for patch panels, wall plates and field termination.

Advantages

The OPT2 supports multimode duplex fiber with ST/PC termination and includes the required software and mounting accessories (fiber cable excluded). Its design allows cascading of multiple devices (up to 15) in a closed-loop wiring principle to cover extended distances with stable digital audio transport. The dedicated protocol ensures accurate, low-latency signal transmission and reliable zone assignment and routing via the system user interface. The single-pack format simplifies inventory and installation where only one fiber interconnection point is required.
