Managed Switch Avaya ERS 5952GTS-PWR+
The Avaya ERS 5952GTS-PWR+ is a managed L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet switch in a 1U rack-mount chassis with 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and PoE+ support. Designed for network edge and wiring-closet deployments, it delivers wire-speed switching, advanced Layer 3 routing capabilities and 10GbE uplinks via four installed SFP+ ports. The unit provides a high-capacity switching fabric and a large MAC address table for reliable connectivity in converged voice, video and data environments.
Wire-speed performance with QoS-aware stack virtualization improves application responsiveness and optimizes traffic flows. Scalable stacking (up to eight units) increases available virtual backplane bandwidth for higher throughput and resilience. Built-in PoE+ and standards-based features simplify deployment of IP phones, cameras and IoT devices while reducing total cost of ownership through competitive price-per-port and pay-as-you-grow expansion.
Mount the ERS 5952GTS-PWR+ in a standard 19-inch rack (1U) and connect uplink ports to your aggregation/core switches using the installed SFP+ modules for 10GbE links. Connect end devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports; enable PoE+ where required to power IP phones, wireless access points or cameras. Configure VLANs, QoS policies and Layer 3 routing through the management interface to ensure appropriate traffic segregation and prioritization. For increased capacity and resilience, join multiple units in a stack following the vendor stacking procedure.
Use this managed switch in wiring closets or top-of-rack positions where converged services and PoE+ are required. Plan stacking and uplink capacity according to expected traffic loads, enable QoS for delay-sensitive services, and keep firmware up to date to maintain security and interoperability with network services.
