Switch AVIZIO AV-SM24GP2F 24x RJ45 PoE 1Gb/s + 2x SFP 1Gb/s uplink + RJ45 console port
The AVIZIO AV-SM24GP2F is a managed network switch with 24 RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports that support Power over Ethernet (PoE), two 1 Gb/s SFP uplink ports and an RJ45 console port. Designed for small and medium-sized networks, the device combines centralized power delivery to connected endpoints with gigabit switching performance and a fiber-capable uplink option for backbone connections and network segmentation. Management features enable configuration of VLANs, QoS and PoE settings to suit enterprise-like deployments in offices, retail and branch installations.
The switch provides 24 gigabit PoE-capable ports allowing simultaneous data and power delivery to IP phones, wireless access points, cameras and other powered devices over standard Ethernet cabling. Two SFP 1 Gb/s uplinks support fiber connectivity for longer-distance links or interconnection to a core switch, improving network scalability. Built-in management functions let administrators monitor traffic, set VLANs and prioritize critical services using QoS. An RJ45 console port facilitates initial setup and local troubleshooting. The metal enclosure and rack-friendly form factor are suitable for deployment in wiring closets and server rooms.
Install the switch in a rack or on a stable surface near network endpoints and the upstream network connection. Connect powered devices such as IP phones, wireless access points or PoE cameras to the RJ45 ports using Cat5e or higher cabling. Insert compatible SFP transceivers into the SFP slots to establish fiber links to a core switch or another aggregation point. Access the management interface via console port for initial configuration or via the switch's supported remote management methods to set up VLANs, QoS policies and PoE prioritization according to network design.
Plan PoE power budget based on the total power draw of connected devices and configure PoE allocation to avoid overcommitment. Use VLANs and QoS to separate traffic types and prioritize voice or surveillance streams. When deploying fiber uplinks, choose SFP modules that match the required distance and fiber type. Regularly update firmware and monitor port statistics to maintain performance and security.
