Shovel/Trowel AWTools AW00058 — hand shovel, weight 2.1 kg
Shovel/Trowel AWTools AW00058 — hand shovel, weight 2.1 kg
AWTools AW00058 — hand shovel, weight 2.1 kg is a compact and robust shovel/trowel intended for general digging, soil handling and working in confined spaces. The head is made of high-quality hardened steel with a powder-coated finish and a pointed mouth that aerates, stirs and turns soil while also cutting through roots. The tool is designed to perform well in stony, clay and hard soils and includes a folded support edge for pushing with the foot. An ergonomic tubular steel shaft covered with anti-slip TPR material and a D-shaped plastic handle provide control and stability during use. Made in Poland.
The hardened steel head with powder coating offers increased durability and resistance to wear and corrosion, while the pointed-mouth profile improves penetration and root cutting. The folded support edge enables efficient foot pressure for deeper digging without damaging the blade, and the anti-slip TPR covering on the tubular steel shaft together with the D-shaped handle enhances grip comfort and control. The tool's compact size and 2.1 kg weight make it suitable for tasks in tight areas and for users who need a sturdy yet manageable hand shovel.
Position the pointed mouth against the soil where you want to dig or loosen. Apply controlled downward and backward pressure, using the folded support edge and applying the foot if additional force is needed to penetrate compacted or stony ground. Use the D-shaped handle to maintain a firm grip and the anti-slip TPR-covered shaft to stabilize the tool during stirring, aerating or moving soil. For root cutting, insert the pointed mouth at an angle and use a prying motion to sever roots.
Before first use and after each work session, remove soil and debris from the head and lightly lubricate any exposed metal if storing in humid conditions. Wear appropriate hand protection for extended work and inspect the handle and shaft periodically for signs of wear or damage. Use the folded support edge to protect the blade edge when applying foot pressure and avoid levering the tool against hard metal or concrete to preserve the powder-coated finish and blade integrity.
