Shovel/trowel AWTools AW00061, weight 1.4 kg, hand digging tool
Shovel/trowel AWTools AW00061, weight 1.4 kg, hand digging tool
AWTools AW00061 is a compact shovel/trowel weighing 1.4 kg designed for manual digging and small excavation tasks. The single-piece hand digging tool combines a shovel blade with a trowel form factor, offering a portable solution for gardening, planting and light groundworks. The head is made of high-quality hardened steel with a powder-coated finish, and a folded support edge allows controlled pressure with the foot. An ergonomic tubular steel shaft is covered with anti-slip TPR material and ends in a D-shaped plastic handle, making the tool suitable for working in tight spaces. The product is made in Poland.
The hardened steel head and powder-coated finish provide corrosion resistance and maintain blade integrity during repeated use. The folded support edge enhances stability when applying foot pressure, reducing slippage. The ergonomic tubular shaft with anti-slip TPR coating and the D-shaped handle improve grip and control for precise digging in confined areas. At 1.4 kg, the tool balances portability with sufficient mass for effective soil penetration.
Hold the D-shaped handle with one hand and support the shaft with the other hand as needed for control. Position the blade at the desired digging point and, if extra force is required, place the foot on the folded support edge and apply steady pressure to drive the blade into the soil. Use controlled levering and scooping motions to remove or move soil, and work progressively to avoid overstressing the shaft or blade. After use, remove soil and debris from the blade and store the tool in a dry place to preserve the powder-coated finish.
For best results, use the AWTools AW00061 on loamy or moderately compacted soils. Avoid levering against very hard or rocky ground to prevent damage to the blade. Regularly clean and dry the tool after use and apply light oil to the metal surfaces if stored for extended periods to protect against corrosion.
