Garden rake AWTools AW00087, 16 tines, unframed, lightweight 380 g
AWTools AW00087 is a lightweight garden rake with a hardened and polished steel frame and a powder-coated finish. The unframed head has 16 pressed tines and a welded socket, making the tool suitable for collecting leaves, removing dead grass, loosening surface soil, light weeding and levelling in beds, borders and lawns. The rake is made in Poland and designed for handheld use.
The metal frame is hardened and polished for strength and corrosion resistance while the powder coating adds extra protection. Sixteen pressed tines provide even raking action across the head and the welded socket ensures a durable connection to a handle. At approximately 380 g the tool is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre for extended gardening tasks.
This unframed, lightweight rake is not intended for heavy-duty tasks such as breaking compacted soil, moving large amounts of wet debris or handling thick roots. For very dense or rocky soil and heavy material you should choose a sturdier, framed or heavy-duty rake.
Attach a compatible handle into the welded socket and secure it according to the handle design. Use the rake with light sweeping motions to gather leaves, grass clippings and loose debris. For levelling, pull the head gently across the surface to distribute soil or compost evenly. Avoid using excessive force or levering on large, compacted material to prevent damage to the tines or socket.
For best results use with a straight wooden or metal handle of appropriate diameter for the welded socket, keep the head clean and dry after use to prolong the powder coating, and avoid prying on large roots or rocks to maintain tine alignment.
