Garden rake AWTools AW00096, metal tines 14-tooth, weight 960 g
The AWTools AW00096 garden rake is a handheld yard tool with a hardened and polished steel frame and a powder-coated finish. It has 14 pressed metal tines attached to a riveted and welded socket and comes with a smoothly ground wooden shaft for comfort and a firm grip. The rake is intended for general garden maintenance such as collecting leaves, removing dead grass, loosening soil, light weeding and leveling surfaces.
The steel frame and powder-coated finish improve durability and resistance to corrosion during outdoor use. Fourteen pressed tines provide good coverage for collecting leaves and debris while the riveted and welded socket ensures a secure connection between the head and shaft. The smoothly ground wooden shaft offers comfortable handling and reliable grip for extended use. The tool’s weight of approximately 960 g balances sturdiness with ease of handheld use.
This metal-tined rake is not intended for heavy-duty tasks such as breaking hard compacted soil, prying out deeply rooted plants, or moving large volumes of heavy debris. For very large areas or commercial landscaping work, a larger or motorized rake may be more efficient.
Hold the wooden shaft with both hands and use smooth, even strokes to gather leaves and debris into piles. For removing dead grass or light loosening of topsoil, apply slightly firmer pressure and work across the surface in short strokes. Use the rake’s tines to level small uneven areas by dragging the head gently across the surface. After use, clean any dirt from the tines and store the rake in a dry place to protect the steel and wooden handle.
Regularly clean and dry the metal tines and apply occasional wood oil to the shaft to extend service life; inspect the riveted socket periodically for tightness before use.
