The AWTOOLS AW00261 hand tool shaft/handle/adapter is a lathe-turned hardwood shaft designed for gardening and light soil work. Weighing 560 g, the handle features an ergonomic straight shape and a tapered end that together with a compatible hoe head enables loosening soil, weeding and chopping plants with minimal effort. The hardwood construction provides resistance to cracks and deformations and is suitable for standard-size hoe heads. Made in Poland.
Constructed from lathe-turned hardwood, the shaft offers structural stability and long service life while remaining resistant to cracking and warping. The ergonomic straight shaft provides comfortable handling for repeated use and improved control. A tapered end simplifies attachment to standard hoe heads and supports efficient force transfer during digging and chopping motions. The product’s balanced weight supports steady work without excessive fatigue.
Fit the tapered end of the shaft into the socket or clamp of a standard-size hoe head and secure according to the head’s fastening method (e.g., screw, wedge or clamp). Hold the ergonomic straight shaft with both hands at a comfortable distance and apply controlled strokes to loosen soil, remove weeds or chop small plant matter. After use, wipe clean and store in a dry place to maintain the hardwood’s condition.
Inspect the shaft periodically for wear or splintering and re-tighten the head attachment as needed. To extend service life, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and treat the hardwood with appropriate oil or wood preservative if used frequently in wet conditions.
