Electrical power plug AWTools AW24809 — compact mains plug, weight 0.06 kg
AWTools AW24809 is a compact electrical power plug designed for connecting household and workshop devices to mains power. The angled, dismountable plug includes a socket contact, grounding and a protective flap cover. Constructed from durable, abrasion- and scratch-resistant plastic, it provides a lightweight mains connection for devices rated up to 16 A. The plug is intended for indoor use and is manufactured in Poland.
The AWTools AW24809 combines a compact form factor and low weight (0.06 kg) with an angled design that can ease cable routing in confined spaces. Its dismountable construction allows straightforward installation and replacement, while the integrated grounding contact supports safe operation with earthed appliances. The protective flap helps prevent accidental contact with live parts when the plug is not in use. The plastic housing is abrasion- and scratch-resistant for improved surface durability under normal indoor conditions.
Before installation, ensure the mains supply is switched off. Assemble or dismount the plug following the manufacturer’s instructions: open the housing, insert the prepared conductors into the appropriate terminals, secure them firmly, and reassemble the housing. Verify that the grounding conductor is connected to the grounding contact. Once assembled, plug the device into a compatible socket and restore power. Use the flap cover to protect the contacts when the plug is not connected.
Use the AWTools AW24809 exclusively indoors and only with devices whose current demand does not exceed 16 A. Avoid exposure to moisture, outdoor conditions or mechanical impacts beyond normal indoor handling. Periodically inspect the plug housing and contacts for wear or damage; replace the plug if any cracks, loose terminals or contact corrosion are detected. Follow local electrical codes and, if unsure, have a qualified electrician perform the installation.
