Paint brush AWTools AW26035 — general purpose, 80 g weight
AWTools AW26035 is a general-purpose paint brush designed for application of paints and coatings. Constructed with a wood composite handle and a mixture of synthetic and natural bristles, this lightweight 80 g brush provides manual control for accurate paint placement on walls, woodwork and furniture. A galvanised metal ferrule secures the bristles and reduces shedding, making the brush suitable for a range of finishing and renovation tasks in both interior and exterior environments.
The combination of synthetic and natural bristles offers balanced paint pickup and release, suitable for water-based and solvent-based formulations. The wood composite handle delivers a comfortable grip while keeping the overall weight low at 80 g for reduced hand fatigue during extended use. The galvanised ferrule holds bristles firmly in place and helps maintain brush shape, supporting consistent application and cleaner edges on trim and detailed surfaces. The brush is manufactured in Poland under standard quality controls.
Prepare the surface by cleaning and, where necessary, sanding and priming according to the paint manufacturer’s instructions. Load the brush by dipping the lower one-third to one-half of the bristles into paint and tap off excess on the container edge. Use controlled strokes to cut in along edges and apply paint evenly across surfaces; maintain a consistent angle and moderate pressure for smooth coverage. After use, clean the brush promptly with water for water-based coatings or with an appropriate solvent for solvent-based paints, then reshape the bristles and allow the brush to dry flat or hanging to preserve its shape.
For best results with acrylic emulsion paints, use short, even strokes and avoid overloading the brush. Store the brush in a dry place and ensure thorough cleaning after each use to extend bristle life and maintain application quality.
