Paint brush AWTools AW26037 — general purpose, 40 g weight
AWTools AW26037 is a general-purpose paint brush designed for small to medium painting tasks such as trim work, touch-ups and DIY projects. The handle is made of beech wood with a clear varnish finish for a comfortable grip and moisture resistance. The bristle pack combines synthetic fibers with natural bristles held securely by a galvanized metal ferrule, providing reliable paint pickup and release when working with common water- and solvent-based coatings. The brush is suitable for acrylic emulsion paints, primers and enamels and is manufactured in Poland.
The beech wood handle with varnish finish offers a balanced feel and durability for repeated use. Mixed synthetic and natural bristles deliver a compromise between stiffness and softness, allowing even application of primers, emulsion paints and enamels. The galvanized ferrule firmly secures the bristles to minimize shedding and maintain the brush shape during work. Its light weight and compact dimensions make it convenient for detail work, finishing and renovation tasks.
Select an appropriate-sized brush for the surface and paint being used. Before first use, remove any loose fibers by lightly tapping and, if recommended by the paint manufacturer, dampen the bristles with water (for water-based paints) or appropriate solvent (for solvent-based enamels). Load the brush with a moderate amount of paint, avoiding overloading to prevent drips. Apply with steady strokes following the grain or direction required for the surface, maintaining a wet edge to reduce visible brush marks. After use, clean the brush promptly according to the paint type: wash with water and mild detergent for water-based paints or use the recommended solvent for enamels, then reshape the bristles and allow to dry flat or hanging with bristles down.
For best results with acrylic emulsions, work at moderate temperatures and keep the brush clean between coats. Store the brush in a dry place away from direct sunlight and long-term exposure to moisture to preserve the varnished wooden handle and bristle integrity.
