Paint brush AWTools AW26039 — general purpose, 60 g weight
AWTools AW26039 is a general-purpose paint brush weighing 60 g, designed for painting and finishing tasks on interior and exterior surfaces. The handle is made of beech wood with a clear varnish finish for improved grip and moisture resistance. The filaments are a blended mix of synthetic fiber and natural bristles, secured by a galvanised metal ferrule that keeps the bristles firmly in place. The brush is suitable for use with acrylic emulsion paints, primers and enamels and is produced in Poland.
The combination of synthetic and natural bristles provides a balance between paint pickup and smooth application, while the medium weight supports controlled strokes during finishing and renovation work. The beech wood handle finished with clear varnish offers a comfortable hold and added protection against wear. The galvanised ferrule resists corrosion and secures the bristles to reduce shedding during use.
Before painting, remove any loose bristles and lightly dampen the brush if recommended by the paint manufacturer to improve absorption of waterborne paints. Load the brush evenly by dipping only the lower third of the bristles into the paint, then tap off excess on the can rim. Apply paint using smooth, even strokes appropriate to the surface—long strokes for flat areas and shorter, controlled strokes for edges and profiles. Clean the brush immediately after use according to the paint type: use water for water-based paints and the appropriate solvent for oil-based products. Allow the brush to dry fully before storage.
For best performance with acrylic emulsion paints, maintain the brush by rinsing thoroughly after each coat and reshaping bristles while damp. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight to protect the wooden handle and bristle mix. For precision work, use light pressure and follow the grain or profile of the surface to reduce brush marks.
