Axe AWTools AW33067BL — hand axe, weight 4.7 kg
AWTools AW33067BL — hand axe, weight 4.7 kg is a heavy-duty manual chopping tool designed for splitting, cutting and general timber processing. The axe features a forged and hardened carbon steel head with a ground and polished cutting face and a beveled edge. A varnished beech wood handle provides a comfortable grip, and the tool is supplied with a blade guard. The rust-resistant powder coat finish and solid construction make this axe suitable for outdoor and workshop use, including felling small trees and preparing firewood. Made in Poland.
The forged and hardened carbon steel head offers high strength and edge retention, while the ground and polished cutting face with a beveled edge ensures efficient penetration and controlled splitting. The beech wood handle is varnished for improved durability and grip, and the rust-resistant powder coat finish protects the metal surfaces from corrosion. A supplied blade guard increases safe transport and storage. The 4.7 kg mass provides increased chopping force without power tools.
Securely attach and check the axe head and handle before use. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection. Place the wood on a stable chopping surface and use controlled, full-arm swings aimed at the desired splitting point. Allow the mass of the 4.7 kg axe head to do the work—avoid excessive force that can cause loss of control. After use, clean any sap or debris from the cutting face, dry the metal surfaces and store the axe with the blade guard in place.
Keep the cutting edge sharp and free of nicks; hone or professionally regrind the bevel when required. Regularly inspect the varnished beech handle for cracks or looseness and replace the handle if damaged. Store the axe in a dry place to prolong the powder coat finish and prevent corrosion.
