Landscape fabric AWTools AW67130 — weed control fabric, AW67130
AWTools AW67130 landscape fabric is a woven polypropylene ground cover engineered to suppress weeds while allowing air and water to pass through. Designed for gardening and landscaping, it provides a physical barrier beneath mulch, gravel, paving, or around flower beds and vegetable plots. The fabric includes green alignment stripes to aid in planting layout and is manufactured to resist rot and ultraviolet exposure for extended outdoor use.
This landscape fabric prevents weed growth without chemical treatments and helps maintain consistent soil moisture and temperature. Constructed from sturdy polypropylene, the material is durable under normal garden traffic and offers long-term performance due to its resistance to rotting and UV degradation. The green alignment stripes simplify planting and layout, and the permeable weave supports healthy soil aeration and drainage.
Unroll the fabric over the prepared soil surface, overlapping adjacent sheets by a minimum of 10–15 cm to prevent weed intrusion. Secure the fabric with landscape staples or pins at regular intervals and cut openings where plants are required, using the green stripes to align rows. Cover the fabric with mulch, gravel or paving material to protect the surface from UV exposure and mechanical wear. For pathways or paving, place the fabric beneath the base material in accordance with standard installation practices.
For best results, select a fabric width and roll length appropriate to the project area to minimize seams. Maintain a covering layer of mulch or aggregate at all times to extend fabric life and reduce direct sunlight exposure. Avoid prolonged exposure to sharp objects or concentrated foot traffic on uncovered fabric to preserve its integrity.
