Landscape fabric AWTools AW67245 — garden weed control ground cover
AWTools AW67245 landscape fabric is a permeable ground cover designed to suppress weeds while allowing water and air to reach the soil. Made of sturdy, durable polyethylene, this textile is suitable for garden beds, borders, and general landscaping projects where long-term soil protection and reduced maintenance are required. The fabric is UV resistant and includes mounting eyelets along the top and bottom edges to simplify fixing and alignment.
The polyethylene construction provides strength and tear resistance while remaining flexible enough to conform to uneven ground. Permeability ensures proper soil aeration and drainage, reducing the risk of waterlogging and preserving plant root health. UV resistance extends the service life when exposed to sunlight, and the integrated mounting eyelets make installation and anchoring straightforward, improving stability under mulch, gravel, or paving.
Prepare the area by removing existing weeds and smoothing the soil surface. Roll out the landscape fabric over the prepared ground, overlapping adjacent sheets where necessary to ensure continuous coverage. Secure the fabric using stakes or anchors through the provided eyelets at the top and bottom edges, and cut openings for planting using a sharp blade. Cover the fabric with mulch, gravel, paving, or soil as required to finish the surface and protect the textile from mechanical wear.
For best results, overlap seams by at least 10–15 cm and fix them in place with landscape staples or anchors. When planting, cut X-shaped or circular openings slightly larger than the plant root ball to avoid constraining growth. Replace damaged sections promptly to maintain weed control and check UV-exposed areas periodically to assess long-term condition.
