The AXAGON ADE-25RC external network adapter converts a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port into a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port. It supports link speeds of 10/100/1000/2500 Mbit/s, uses the Realtek RTL8156B chipset and provides a compact aluminum-bodied solution for adding a fast and stable wired network connection to laptops, ultrabooks and desktops with a USB-C port. The adapter is compatible with current Windows, macOS and Linux versions and supports automatic installation on modern Windows systems without requiring an Internet connection.

Advantages

The adapter delivers 2.5 Gb/s throughput over standard Cat5e/Cat6 cables up to 100 m using the IEEE 802.3bz (NBASE-T) standard. Its metal (aluminum) housing provides mechanical protection and good heat dissipation while the permanently attached 15 cm USB-C cable keeps the design compact and lightweight. The device supports advanced network features such as IPv4/IPv6 checksum offload, TCP large send offload, VLAN tagging, jumbo frames, Auto MDI/MDIX and Wake-on-LAN modes. Bus-powered operation requires no external power and two LEDs indicate link and activity.

How to use
