Description

The Axagon ADSA-SN storage drive docking station connects 2.5" and 3.5" SATA HDDs and SSDs to a computer via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1) interface. The unit supports UASP for improved transfer performance, TRIM for SSD maintenance and S.M.A.R.T. reading for disk health monitoring. It features a compact aluminium-and-plastic housing, rubber feet for vibration reduction, a low centre of gravity for stable placement and a blue LED that indicates power and data activity.

Advantages

The docking station provides plug-and-play convenience with Hot Plug support, automatic installation on supported operating systems and compatibility with a wide range of SATA drives. It supports SATA III (6 Gb/s) speeds while remaining backward compatible with older SATA and USB standards. Additional features include HDD auto spindown, drive turn-off on removal or PC shutdown, support for booting from connected drives and an included USB-A to micro USB-B cable and 12 V / 2 A power adapter.

How to use

Connect the docking station to a computer using the supplied micro USB-B to USB-A cable and plug in the 12 V power adapter. Insert a SATA drive vertically into the dock until it seats fully. The device supports Hot Plug so drives can be connected or removed while the host is running; use the operating system's safe removal procedure when disconnecting to avoid data loss. The blue LED shows power (steady) and data activity (blinking).

Usage recommendations

Use on a stable, vibration-free surface and allow adequate ventilation around the aluminium housing. For SSDs, ensure TRIM and UASP are enabled by the host to maintain optimal performance. Always perform a safe eject or shutdown before removing a drive to prevent data corruption.
