AXAGON HMC-U4 DUAL 4K DISPLAY is a 12-in-1 USB4 docking station that expands a laptop, tablet or phone into a multimedia hub. It uses USB4 (40 Gbps) technology with Thunderbolt compatibility and backward USB support. The dock connects to the host device with the supplied 80 cm USB-C cable and provides two video outputs (HDMI and DisplayPort), five high-speed USB ports, SD and microSD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5 mm audio jack with high-quality DAC, and Power Delivery input for charging up to 100W. Supported video performance depends on the host port capabilities (DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt) and connected displays.

Advantages

USB4 40 Gbps throughput enables multi-monitor setups and fast data transfer while maintaining compatibility with Thunderbolt 3/4 and earlier USB standards. Dual video outputs support up to 8K/30Hz single-monitor modes or dual-monitor configurations up to 4K at high refresh rates depending on the host. The integrated SD (UHS-II) and microSD (UHS-I) reader supports capacities up to 2 TB and simultaneous card access for direct copying. How to use

Connect the dock to a compatible USB-C port on your laptop, tablet or phone using the included 80 cm USB-C cable. If you need to power the host device and the dock simultaneously, plug a USB PD charger into the USB-C PD input (supports Power Delivery 3.0 up to 100W) and ensure the host device supports PD and video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode). Attach displays to the HDMI and/or DisplayPort outputs and connect USB accessories, memory cards, Ethernet cable and audio devices as required. For additional power to external drives, connect a 5V/2A USB-C power source to the DC 5V input. Update the host OS and graphics drivers if higher resolutions or refresh rates are not available.
