Network Media Converter Barox PC-HPMC102E-CS
The Barox PC-HPMC102E-CS is an industrial network media converter designed for applications with high data loads such as video over IP and video streaming. It combines a single fixed SFP fiber port with two 10/100TX copper RJ-45 ports in a compact black housing (32 mm x 83 mm x 104 mm). The device supports Fast Ethernet rates (10/100 Mbit/s), has low power consumption (approx. 2 W) and a total PoE budget of up to 60 W depending on the model variant, making it suitable for remote or space-constrained installations.
The media converter delivers reliable 100 Mbit/s data transmission between copper and fiber networks while keeping a small footprint and low power draw. Its industrial design offers a wide operating temperature range and flexible mounting options (DIN rail or wall) for harsh or remote environments. Built-in PoE support on one or both copper ports enables powering of connected devices directly from the converter when the specific variant includes PoE or PoE++ capabilities.
Install the Barox PC-HPMC102E-CS on a DIN rail or mount it on a wall using the supplied accessories. Insert the appropriate SFP transceiver into the fixed fiber slot and connect the fiber cable to the SFP. Connect copper devices to the RJ-45 ports using standard Ethernet cables. Provide power according to the model variant and local wiring rules; if using a PoE variant, ensure downstream devices are within the supported PoE class and the total PoE budget is not exceeded. Verify link LEDs and network settings to confirm successful operation.
Use compatible SFP modules rated for the required fiber type and distance, follow the device’s operating temperature and mounting guidelines, and allocate PoE budget carefully when powering multiple devices to ensure stable operation in industrial environments.
