BCS xPoE3/EXT-PP PoE Switch with 3x PoE Extender ports
BCS xPoE3/EXT-PP is a PoE switch designed to deliver power and network connectivity to IP devices while extending PoE reach through three dedicated PoE extender ports. The unit combines centralized power delivery and data transmission over Ethernet cabling, enabling simplified installations for small CCTV systems, wireless access points, and other PoE-enabled equipment. Its compact form factor and focused port set make it suitable where a few extended PoE connections are required without complex infrastructure changes.
The switch provides three PoE extender ports that allow connected devices to be powered at greater distances than standard PoE limits, reducing the need for separate power sources near devices. It consolidates power and data in a single device, simplifying cabling and installation. The product is intended for practical deployment in compact surveillance or wireless setups and supports stable, continuous operation for connected PoE equipment.
Connect the switch to a suitable power source and to the upstream network via the non-extender uplink port. Attach PoE-enabled devices to the three extender ports using standard Ethernet cables; the extender ports will deliver both power and data to connected equipment while extending reach compared with standard PoE links. Verify link and power indicators (where present) to confirm connectivity and power delivery. Ensure connected devices are compatible with the switch’s PoE type and power budget.
Place the switch in a ventilated, dry location and use quality shielded or unshielded twisted-pair Ethernet cables as appropriate for distance and environment. Calculate total power consumption of connected devices to avoid exceeding the switch power capacity, and plan cable runs to maintain signal integrity. For surveillance installations, position the switch centrally to minimize cable lengths and use surge protection where systems are exposed to electrical disturbances.
