Benmet welding electrode Elektorad rutylowa BES 1.460 R 2.0 mm 3.5 kg
Benmet Elektorad rutylowa BES 1.460 R 2.0 mm is a rutile-coated manual metal arc (MMA) welding electrode supplied in a 3.5 kg pack. It is designed for general-purpose welding of low- and medium-carbon steels, offering reliable arc ignition and steady melting behavior. The rutile coating supports easy slag formation and removal, enabling smoother weld beads and consistent performance during construction, repair and maintenance tasks.
The rutile coating ensures stable arc ignition and a smooth, controllable welding arc that reduces spatter and promotes good bead appearance. Its formulation provides easy slag detachability, which shortens cleanup time after welding. Supplied in a practical 3.5 kg pack, the electrodes are suitable for continuous use in workshops and on-site jobs where consistent electrode performance is required.
Select the appropriate welding current and polarity according to the base material and thickness. Prepare the joint by cleaning oil, rust and loose scale from the weld area. Strike the arc with steady hand movement and maintain the recommended arc length for a 2.0 mm electrode to achieve consistent penetration and bead shape. After welding, allow the weld to cool gradually and chip off the slag to inspect fusion and bead quality.
For best results, store electrodes in a dry environment to prevent moisture pick-up. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, ensure proper ventilation, and match electrode diameter and welding current to material thickness. If welding critical structures, perform test welds and follow applicable welding procedures and standards.
