Fibre optic cable BlueOptics 00VX003-BN-BO 10 m OM3 MTP
The BlueOptics 00VX003-BN-BO 10 m OM3 MTP is a 10-metre multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in data centres and enterprise networks. It features MTP/UPC connectors on both ends and OM3 laser-optimized multimode fibre to support high-bandwidth links. The cable is supplied in aqua colour coding for straightforward identification and neat cable management. The sheath is low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH), reducing toxic and corrosive emissions in the event of fire and making the cable suitable for installations where fire safety and low smoke are required.
The cable delivers low attenuation and high return loss values due to laser-optimized OM3 fibre and precision connectors, ensuring reliable signal integrity over short to medium distances. MTP multi-fibre connectors allow rapid, high-density connections between patch panels and transceivers, reducing installation time and rack space. BlueOptics construction uses branded optical fibres and quality connector components with zirconia ceramic ferrules to provide stable performance and a high mating-cycle lifetime. The LSZH jacket improves safety in confined spaces without compromising flexibility for routing and installation.
Route the fibre cable along cable trays or within rack channels, avoiding tight bends and sharp edges. Align the MTP connectors with the corresponding ports on patch panels or transceivers and insert until the latch engages; ensure correct polarity and fibre mapping when connecting multi-fibre links. Use appropriate strain relief and secure the cable jacket to cable management accessories to prevent stress on the connector ends. If necessary, verify optical performance after installation using an OTDR or power meter to confirm input loss and return loss are within expected ranges.
Handle connectors using protective caps until connection, avoid bending below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius, and follow standard ESD precautions when plugging or unplugging optical transceivers and patch cables. Store unused cables coiled loosely and keep the measurement protocol provided with the cable for reference during commissioning and maintenance.
