Network Cable BlueOptics 00VX005-IB-BO MTP InfiniBand 30m Turquoise
The BlueOptics 00VX005-IB-BO MTP InfiniBand 30m Turquoise is a 30 meter multimode fiber patch cable designed for high-density data centers and high-performance computing networks. Equipped with MTP (female) connectors on both ends and OM3 laser-optimized multimode fiber, this turquoise cable supports low attenuation and high return loss to maintain stable optical links between patch panels, transceivers, and other optical components. The cable features a flame-retardant LSZH jacket for reduced smoke and no halogen release in case of fire and is manufactured to meet industrial quality and testing standards.
This BlueOptics MTP-MTP OM3 cable offers low insertion loss and high return loss values thanks to laser-optimized multimode fiber and precision connectors. It is built with high-quality branded fiber and ceramic ferrules to ensure durability and up to the stated mating cycles. Full testing with interferometer and OTDR is performed and a measurement protocol for input and return loss is supplied, providing traceable performance data. The LSZH outer sheath reduces fire-related hazards and the cable is compatible with common optical connectivity applications and IBM 00VX005-IB form-factor implementations.
Route the 30 m MTP-MTP cable between matching MTP ports on patch panels or optical transceivers, ensuring correct polarity and connector orientation. Handle connectors by the housings and protect endfaces from dust and scratches; inspect and clean ferrules before insertion according to manufacturer cleaning guidelines. Secure the cable along trays or racks to avoid sharp bends below the fiber minimum bend radius and prevent mechanical strain on the connector interfaces.
Store and transport the cable in a clean, dry environment and use dust caps when connectors are not in use. For best performance, follow endface cleaning procedures, avoid tight bends, and verify optical link parameters after installation with appropriate test equipment. Replace the cable if endface damage or excessive attenuation is detected.
