The module provides a hot-pluggable interface for straightforward installation and replacement without system downtime, and its small form factor enables high-density port deployments in data center and enterprise network environments.
The transceiver delivers a 10 Gbit/s data rate combined with multimode SR performance for reliable short-distance connectivity. Its LC duplex connector and standardized SFP+ form factor ensure broad compatibility with network equipment that accepts SFP+ optics. Hot-pluggability simplifies maintenance and upgrades, while the module's compact size supports dense port configurations and efficient use of rack space.
Install the SFP+ transceiver into a compatible SFP+ port on a switch, server or optical transceiver cage until it seats securely. Connect LC duplex multimode fiber patch cords to the module's LC connectors, observing correct transmit/receive orientation. Once inserted, the device should be recognized by the host equipment; verify link status via the system management interface and ensure matching speed and duplex settings if required.
