Copper SFP transceiver module BlueOptics 453156-001-AB-BO 100m Silver
The BlueOptics 453156-001-AB-BO Copper SFP transceiver module is a compact 1000BASE-T SFP designed for copper-based Gigabit Ethernet links up to 100 meters. Housed in a silver casing and weighing approximately 20 g, this SFP module uses a standard RJ45 interface and follows SFP form-factor conventions for easy insertion into compatible network equipment. It is intended as a plug-in transceiver for switches, routers and other devices that accept SFP copper modules and supports typical Gigabit Ethernet applications over twisted-pair cabling.
The module offers a standardized SFP interface for hot-swappable installation and a lightweight, compact design that minimizes space usage in rack-mounted equipment. Built to MSA-compatible mechanical and electrical specifications, it provides interoperability with a wide range of hardware platforms that support 1000BASE-T SFP copper transceivers. The silver enclosure and low weight simplify handling and installation while supporting reliable data transfer across standard copper cabling.
Power down or follow your equipment vendor’s hot-swap procedure if supported, then insert the BlueOptics SFP module into an empty SFP slot until it latches. Connect an RJ45 patch cable from the module to the copper network port of the remote device. Verify link status through the host device management interface and ensure the connected cabling and switch/router ports are configured for 1000BASE-T operation. If the host supports hot-plug, insertion can be performed while the device remains powered on following the vendor’s guidance.
Use Category 5e or better twisted-pair cabling for full 1 Gbps performance and keep cable runs within the 100 m specification. Confirm SFP compatibility with the target hardware and, when available, enable any digital diagnostic monitoring features provided by the host to monitor operational parameters.
