Fibre optic cable BlueOptics 470-10695-BO OM2 10 m LC–LC duplex (ochre)
BlueOptics 470-10695-BO is a 10 m OM2 multimode fiber optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends in a full-duplex LC–LC configuration. It is intended for short-range high-speed multimode links such as data centre patching and server or transceiver connections. The cable uses laser-optimized 50/125 µm multimode fiber, an ochre LSZH jacket and LC connectors with UPC polish.
The cable provides standard OM2 performance suitable for short-distance multimode applications and comes with low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) sheathing for improved fire safety in confined spaces. Connectors and fibers are manufactured from established component suppliers and the assembly is tested for insertion loss and return loss to ensure reliable optical performance.
This OM2 multimode cable is not intended for long-distance singlemode links or applications that require singlemode performance. It may also be unsuitable where a different connector type, polish (e.g., APC), or a different jacket material (for outdoor or direct burial use) is required.
Route the LC–LC duplex cable between the required ports, ensuring connectors are clean before insertion. Align and insert the LC connectors into the transceiver or patch panel ports until they click into place. Avoid tight bends and excessive tension on the cable; respect the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to maintain optical performance. If necessary, test the link with appropriate fibre testers to verify insertion loss and return loss after installation.
Keep connector endfaces covered until installation, clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools, and perform post-installation optical tests to confirm link performance.
