How to use

Power off or disable the SFP port on the host device if recommended by the equipment vendor. Insert the BlueOptics SFP transceiver into a compatible SFP port until it latches. Connect an LC simplex single-mode patch cable following the correct TX/RX orientation for BX-D operation (one side transmits at one wavelength while the other receives at the complementary wavelength). Enable the port in your switch or router management interface and verify link status and optical parameters. If supported by your hardware, access the DDM/DOM registers to monitor real-time optical diagnostics such as supply voltage, laser bias current, output power, input power and module temperature.

Usage recommendations

Verify that your network equipment explicitly supports 1000BASE-BX-D or compatible SFP transceivers and that the device firmware does not restrict third-party modules.
