The BlueOptics AT-MTP12-1-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 1 m MTP-to-MTP OM3 multimode patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in data centers, cluster interconnects and high-density network installations. The cable features laser-optimized OM3 multimode fibre, factory-polished MTP/UPC connectors and an aqua LSZH sheath for low smoke, zero halogen performance. It is suitable for connecting MTP ports on patch panels, switches and transceivers where reliable, short-distance multimode links are required.
This MTP-MTP OM3 cable delivers low insertion loss and high return loss values thanks to quality multimode fibre and precision-manufactured connectors. Construction with a zirconia ceramic ferrule and branded fibre components supports stable signal integrity and long connector life. The LSZH outer jacket reduces harmful emissions in enclosed spaces and the standardized MTP connector enables high-density parallel optics and InfiniBand compatibility.
Install the BlueOptics AT-MTP12-1-BO by aligning the MTP connector keys with the receptor on the patch panel, switch or transceiver and insert until the latch engages. Ensure correct polarity and connector orientation according to the equipment and MPO/MTP mapping being used. Avoid tight bends near the connector and secure the cable with appropriate routing clips or ties; the OM3 multimode fibre performs best when bend radius specifications are respected.
For consistent performance, handle connectors by the housing and keep endfaces clean. Use appropriate cleaning tools before mating and verify link loss when integrating into parallel-optic or InfiniBand systems. Select fiber lengths and MTP breakout or fanout assemblies as required to match transceiver and port configurations.
