10G Ethernet Media Converter BlueOptics BLMC011-010 10000 Mbit/s 1550 nm Black
The BlueOptics BLMC011-010 10G Ethernet Media Converter converts electrical Ethernet signals to optical signals and supports 10GBASE-ZR transmission at a wavelength of 1550 nm. The compact, black converter provides two SFP+ fiber ports and one RJ-45 copper port, supports Ethernet data rates up to 10000 Mbit/s and a maximum transfer distance of up to 30 m with appropriate transceivers and cabling. It is designed for wired high-speed network applications where fiber connectivity, link extension or media type conversion is required.
The media converter supports 10 Gbit/s transmission and uses pluggable SFP+ modules to allow flexible selection of fiber transceivers. Auto-negotiation and auto-MDIX simplify integration with existing copper infrastructure by automatically detecting and adjusting link speed and cable type. Link pass-through and fiber fault alert functions propagate status between fiber and copper interfaces for easier fault detection. The device complies with common industrial standards and is designed for straightforward installation in unmanaged environments.
Install compatible SFP+ transceivers into the SFP+ slots and connect appropriate fiber cables to the transceivers. Connect the copper side to a switch, server or other Ethernet device using an RJ‑45 patch cable. Power the media converter according to the device manual and allow the unit to complete link negotiation. The converter will perform automatic rate conversion and detect the installed fiber transceivers; use link pass-through and fiber fault alert features to monitor link status. Follow ESD precautions when handling the unit and transceivers.
Use SFP+ transceivers and fiber cabling that match your link distance and network design; verify that transceiver wavelength and fiber type are compatible.
