BlueOptics fibre optic cable LC–LC OM2 3 m CBL-LCLC-R3-BO
BlueOptics fibre optic cable LC–LC OM2 3 m CBL-LCLC-R3-BO is a 3 metre duplex multimode patch cable with LC/UPC connectors on both ends. It uses OM2 (50/125 µm) laser-optimized multimode fibre and is intended for short-range, high-speed links such as InfiniBand, data centre interconnects, switches and storage systems. The cable has an ochre LSZH jacket and supports full-duplex transmission for reliable optical connections.
The cable provides low attenuation and high return-loss characteristics, factory-tested by interferometer and OTDR to ensure consistent performance. BlueOptics uses branded multimode fibres and established connector manufacturers, and the zirconia ceramic ferrules are rated for a high number of mating cycles. The LSZH sheath reduces halogen release and smoke in case of fire.
This OM2 multimode cable is designed for short to medium distances and may not be appropriate for long-haul or single-mode applications that require lower modal dispersion and significantly longer reach. It is not intended to replace single-mode fibre for metro or long-distance networks.
Unpack the cable and inspect connectors and ferrules for dust or damage. Clean connector endfaces before insertion using appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Plug LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports on patch panels, transceivers or switches, ensuring correct orientation and secure seating. Avoid tight bends and maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius during routing. For best results, verify link loss with an appropriate optical test instrument after installation.
